Sadia’s Path from TCF Graduate to Police Officer

Amidst the rhythmic chaos of the police station, Sadia calmly takes control of the unpredictable days. She welcomes women seeking help, listening and inquiring attentively before heading into the field to solve their problems. Eight years ago, Saadia stumbled into the police force, driven by the need to support her family. Little did she know, it would become her calling

Women understand each other, especially when dealing with sensitive issues like family matters,
reflects Sadia
When a woman walks into a police station, I try to create a safe space so she can open up and share anything.

Sadia graduated from TCF in 2015. After finishing college, she joined the Police Force to support her father, a security guard, who at the time was providing for a family of twelve.

It was an unconventional move back then and many raised severe objection when I began my training. But Abba (father) encouraged me to keep going,
Sadia reminisces about her late father.

Every day since then has brought a new challenge and a chance for Sadia to grow.

Over the years, I’ve realised the weight of responsibility that my uniform carries. The power to make a real difference in women’s lives is where I find my peace.

At home, Sadia is every bit the caring mother and wife, finding joy in her marriage and two children. Her husband is her biggest supporter. Now, Sadia has her eyes set on pursuing an LLB – eager to help more women who need her!
