How we teach

Quality education, built the same way in every classroom

From the curriculum in a child's hands to the training behind every teacher and principal, everything at TCF is designed around one question: what actually helps a child learn.

Quality education, built the same way in every classroom
The Definition of Quality

Our 5Cs of Education

Every TCF classroom is built around the same five outcomes, the qualities we believe define what a quality education actually gives a child.

Our Curriculum

A curriculum suited for student success

Our curriculum is child centred and interactive, built around hands-on activities rather than rote memorisation. We write and publish our own textbooks, workbooks, and teacher’s guides for every subject, so every classroom follows the same standard of lesson, and we keep revisiting it to stay in step with how children actually learn.

What we do
Beyond the Classroom

Building character at school

Personal, moral, and social development get the same weight as academics, with school activities built to help children grow into responsible, well rounded individuals, not just capable students. A co-curricular program spanning art, debate, and sports gives every child a stage to discover and celebrate their own talents.

What we do
Intensive Principal and Teacher Training

Our 4 key training programs

Teachers shape what happens in a single classroom. Principals shape what happens across an entire school. Every year, our training team runs an extensive program for both, built around what each of them actually needs to lead a classroom or a school well.

Nardban: Stairway to Success

Teacher tests and e-learning, built in house

Nardban, meaning stairway to success, has run since 2014 and rests on two features. Teacher Competency Tests are yearly assessments every TCF teacher sits in the subjects they teach, testing and rewarding subject knowledge rather than just years of service.

A dedicated Learning Management System unit builds interactive videos for English, Maths, and Science teachers, giving them material to deepen their own subject knowledge so they can teach it better in the classroom.

What we do
Quality Assurance

Holding every school to the same standard

A dedicated Quality Assurance team keeps every TCF school to the same standard, with visits throughout the year, formal classroom observations, and feedback gathered directly from principals, teachers, and students that feeds into each school’s own improvement plan.

The same team runs two centralised exams each year, Mid Terms and Finals, preparing the papers, monitoring how they’re marked, and compiling the results across the network.

27% of TCF students score A+ or A grades.
